WHAT IS
COUNTRYSIDERS?
Countrysiders is where young people aged 10–16 can discover the countryside, build confidence, learn practical skills and make lifelong friends.
Whether you’re interested in farming, animals, the outdoors or simply trying something new, Countrysiders offers a welcoming community where everyone can get involved.
With 14 clubs across Norfolk, there’s a local Countrysiders club waiting to welcome you.
Countrysiders is all about giving young people the opportunity to learn, grow and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
As the junior section of Norfolk Young Farmers, our members enjoy a fantastic mix of practical activities, social events and countryside experiences that help build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll enjoy:

Competitions and events
Members have the opportunity to represent their club in a wide range of county competitions throughout the year.
From letter writing and public speaking to stock judging, face painting, practical skills and creative challenges, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, regardless of experience.
Competitions are a brilliant way to develop confidence, meet members from other clubs and celebrate new skills.

We know trying something new can feel daunting, so your first two club meetings are completely free.
If you decide Countrysiders is for you, membership includes access to regular meetings, competitions, county events and much more.

Membership Fees
Meeting Fee: £3 per meeting attended
Some off-site trips may have a small additional transport charge (typically £1.50–£2.50) where minibus hire is required.
Annual Membership: £30

The safety and wellbeing of every member is our highest priority.
All Countrysider Clubs are led by dedicated volunteers and supported by the Norfolk Young Farmers County Office through a dedicated Countrysiders Development Officer based at Easton Campus.
Every activity is carefully planned to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where young people can learn, have fun and thrive.
